What is it?

QuestionPro Workforce is an online survey tool designed for HR to help you collect and analyze workforce analytics and employee experience.

How would I use this tool in a Culture Playbook?

To build your ongoing culture management capacity, and to focus more on employees.

Good culture management relies on good data. We obviously start there with our Workplace Genome culture assessment (which is now owned by QuestionPro and integrated into Workforce), but after that you’ll need systems in place to gather ongoing data about your workforce and their experience. QuestionPro’s Workforce product does that, focusing on the “life-cycle” of employment, from recruiting to exit. They offer survey question templates for each stage and reports and dashboards that can be shared throughout the organization. This is also one of many tools you could use to gather ongoing employee net promoter score (eNPS) data.

Because it focuses on employee experience, deploying Workforce could also be a play directed at becoming more employee focused. Solutions is the Culture Marker in our assessment that measures, among other things, how focused your organization is on its employees. One of the specific Building Blocks within this Marker is Tailored Responses, which is based on how your employees rate the following statement: “My company understands and responds to my individual and unique needs.” In fact, this particular Block has the strongest correlation (in the data so far) to an individual’s willingness to recommend their organization as a place to work (which we think is the best simple measure of employee engagement). We’ve also noticed that the People-Centric Solutions Block (“We design our organization around the needs of employees”) tends to score more traditional than other Blocks.

So if you start systematically gathering data about their experience, and then actually doing something based on the data (that’s the important part, of course), then you can start to change your culture to more visibly employee-focused. Workforce also offers an employee portal which can be used to crowd-source ideas, thus this could also connect to an innovation play.
